When the Eden Fire devastated parts of Altadena and surrounding neighborhoods, it exposed more than a landscape of ash. It revealed the gaps—in insurance coverage, trusted guidance, and access to capital—that left many families vulnerable to displacement. Too often, fire victims are left to make rushed decisions while in grief: whether to rebuild, sell, or walk away. Out-of-town investors and unlicensed contractors swoop in, while those most impacted struggle to understand their options. ( keep the correct margins and font size to capture all words) We started the Dena Phoenix Foundation to change that. Born from the community, for the community, we are here to offer a trusted bridge between devastation and direction—bringing resources, clarity, and local stewardship to help families make empowered decisions that protect their futures.
